Besides teaching, formulated new courses,published 9 Books, 4 Chapter of Books, 18 Booklets and more than 300 scientific articles. Acted as Chairman of 34 PG students and 8 more are working. Acted as an expert in selection board, external examiner, paper reviewer, question setter in various National Institutions, Government and NGOs. Formed the registered “Crop and Weed Science Society” and publishing ICAR , NASS, CAB accepted “Journal of Crop and Weed” and “Crop and Weed Science News” since 2005. Organized3 International and 16 National Conferences besides more than 50 farmers’ training programme. Acted as Principal Investigator of 49 projects, participated in 20 International and 73 National conferences besides delivering lectures in more than 200 farmer training programme and also participated in Akashbani&Doordarshan.Presently member of more than 25 international and national societies. He completed his Ph.D in Crop Genetics and Breeding and M.S. in Vegetable Sciences from Nanjing Agricultural University, China. He worked in the Department of Plant Sciences, NDSU, USA as a Postdoc. Dr. Liu played instrumental role in some international collaborative projects with USA, Australia, East African, etc. He is associate Editor-in–Chief of some monograph and textbooks including Chinese radish, The Science of Seed and Seedling. Biography Joseph J. Molnar is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. He also serves as Coordinator of the Office of International Agriculture for the College of Agriculture. His areas of interest include social and economic implications of changes in agricultural production, and in technology as a source of economic and social advancement in developing countries. Dr. Molnar teaches graduate courses in research methods and statistics. He served as an instructor on survey and questionnaire design for the World Bank IBDET summer training program for two years. Most recently he served as a consultant to the Conservation Technology Information Center. Dr. Molnar was president of the International Rural Sociology Association from 1996-2000, and President of the Rural Sociological Society of North America in 2008-2009. He lectures and consults internationally, most recently on organizational capacity measurement in developing country NGOs. Biography Dr. Hosam O. Elansary, current visiting faculty at the Biodiversity Institute of Ontario, University of Guelph, Canada. He was Ph.D. graduate of the faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague (one of the world top 200 Universities). Born in Alexandria in 1978, graduated in 1999 from the faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University and got two prizes for academic excellence in 2000. He held the position of lecturer (2003) then assistant professor at 2010 at Alexandria University. During his study in Europe he worked on a project between USA & the Czech Academy of Sciences and has several impacted publications in the field of plant physiology, biochemistry and biodiversity. He launched a national volunteering barcoding project aimed to barcode herbs, shrubs and trees especially ornamentals in Egypt since 2010 and up to now in collaboration with the University of Guelph in Canada. He was selected as the ambassador of the Society of Experimental Biology located in London, the society is considered as the main biological mass of scientists in Europe. He was selected as an editorial board of several journals. He participated either as a PI, Co-PI and as a consultant in several local and international projects, such as EIFAD & TreeBOL. Finally, he established EgyptBOL to be a big umbrella for Egyptian barcoders and to witness the birth of Egypt Barcode of Life dream (egyptbol.org). Biography Karim Sorkheh was born and raised in small city of ‘Ahvaz’, ‘Ahvaz’ city in the south west of Iran. After finishing high school in Ahvaz he took part in the central university entrance exam and was accepted in 1995 to the University of ‘Shahid Chamran Ahvaz’ to study Agronomy and Plant Breeding. He took part in central exam for MS.c degree in plant breeding upon finishing undergraduate studies and was accepted as the best student (first rank) in the University of ‘Shahrekord’ in 2006. His research was to study the genetic diversity of wild species (Amygdalus spp.) and cultivated genotypes of Almond using AFLP molecular marker and some morphological characteristics. Obtaining his MSc led to a job at the Department of Agronomy and Plant Breeding at the University of ‘Ahwaz’ and ‘Shahrekord’ as a lecture. He taught the principle of genetics, Biology, Application of molecular marker in plant breeding and use of techniques in biotechnology for BB.s, MS.c and PhD students and carried out some research projects. Karim Sorkheh holds a first degree in Plant Breeding science from the university of Shahr-e-Kord, Iran, and go ahead his education in application of molecular markers infruit breeding(Almond, Peach) and biotechnology. Biography Dr. Chakraborti had his early schooling at Rahara Ramakrishna Mission where he passed his secondary Examination with star marks in 1984 and had got National Scholarship. He graduated from Agriculture University, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya in 1990 securing 81.92 % marks in Agriculture Honours followed by his first position in 1st class in the Master degree in Agriculture in Agriculture with Horticulture from the same University. Later he obtained PhD from Kalyani University in Botany. He pursued specialized study in different Universities in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany and Folklore in different winter Schools, Courses and Workshops at Himachal Pradesh, Kerala and West Bengal along with Asiatic Society, Kolkata. He possesses creative writing skills in Bengali as well as Farm Journalism. He had participated in more than 70 different International/National/State level seminars/symposiums all over India. Dr. Chakraborti began his carrier as an Agriculture Development Officer under WBAS (Admn) in 1993-1997. In 2007 he was made a Reader; in 2010 he was made Associate Professor. His Professorship is due since 2012. Dr. Chakraborti has written about 3 books in English and Bengali and he published near about 60 scientific papers. His popular writings also include wide ranging subjects, in which Agriculture, Horticulture and Folklore (Farm-lore) are the major ones. Dr. Chakraborti received several prizes and awards from different prestigious Institutions and platforms. Accomplished degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Goiás (2009), specialization in Environmental Law at PUC / GO (2011), master's degree in plant biodiversity from the Federal University of Goiás and currently Doctorate in Agronomy Program (Production plant) the same institution. I currently work with agroforestry, forest exploitation, valuation of ecosystem services of pollinators and agroecology, especially with the tomato crop, and other crops and ecological restoration of degraded environments. Biography Born on March twenty ninth Nineteen hundred and seventy nine (29.03.1979) at Kheireddine, Tunis, Tunisia, Dr. Riadh Ilahy obtained his baccalaureate (experimental sciences) in 1998 from the technical secondary school, le Kram, then he started his higher education (biology/geology) at the Faculty of Science, Bizerte, Tunis, Tunisia until he finished his master degree and PhD (Phytochemistry) in 2011. He finished his PhD after collaboration with Professor Marcello Salvatore Lenucci and Professor Giuseppe Dalessandro from the University of Salento. He is currently working as a permanent researcher at the National Agricultural Research Institute of Tunisia, department of Horticulture. He is specialized in breeding for higher nutritional quality crops, mainly tomato and potato. He published 2 Chapter of Books, 17 Communications/posters and more than 30 scientific articles. Acted as an external examiner, paper reviewer for many international indexed and impacted Journals. Ana Kaić was born on 3rd May 1983 in Koprivnica (Croatia). She finished primary school in 1997, and high school in 2001 in Đurđevac (Croatia). She studied animal husbandry at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb from 2001 till 2007. At the end of 2007, she started working as a young researcher at the Institute of Animal Production, Faculty of Agriculture. At the same faculty at the beginning of 2008, she enrolled with postgraduate doctoral study "Agricultural Sciences".
In the year 2009, she was at scientific education in meat industry PIK Vrbovec (Croatia).
She attended training course for expert assessor in year 2009. From the year 2010, she has been a member of the Association of sensory analysts (Gustus). She has participated as a member of the committee for sensory evaluation of dry-cured products at numerous national and international trade fairs. In 2011 and 2012 she was as a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Biotechnology, University of Ljubljana. Biography I am an agronomist graduated from the universities Universidade Federal do Maranhão (UFMA) e University of Wisconsin- River Falls (UWRF). Currently, I am a graduate student in Genetic and Crop Breeding at Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV), Viçosa, Minas Gerais, BR. I have experience in the handling of vegetable resources, especially with crop such as cassava. Most recently, I have been working in the evaluation of the germplasm of (Cucurbita moschata Duch.) belonging to the Vegetable Gene Bank of the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (BGH-UFV). I have been evaluating these germplasm as to the content of bio active compounds in fruits, besides its agronomic characteristics. Biography Dr. Qiang-Sheng Wu is currently Professor at College of Horticulture and Gardening, Yangtze University, China and also is the Lead Direction at Institute of Root Biology, Yangtze University. He received his BS degree in Horticulture from Jiangxi Agricultural University and obtained the PhD degree of Pomology from Huazhong Agricultural University. Dr. Wu focused on arbuscular mycorrhizal research in fruit trees. He concerns the functioning and physiology of arbuscular mycorrhizas in plant and soil, especially in citrus plants. Recently, Dr. Wu worked on root hairs, drought tolerance by mycorrhization, common mycorrhizal network, and glomalin-related soil protein released by extra radical hyphae. Obtained the Fourth SCOPUS Young Research Award. Dr. Wu's Research interestsinclude : Physiological mechanisms of citrus plants colonized by mycorrhizal fungi under drought, salt stress and temperature stress; Mycorrhizal symbiosis and root hairs in citrus plants; Glomalin-related soil protein functionings released by extraradical hyphae of arbuscular mycorrhizas in rhizosphere of citrus. Biography Jiban Shrestha is currently working as a Scientist (Plant Breeding and Genetics) at Nepal Agricultural Research Council, Nepal since 2010 to August2017. Mr. Shrestha has been involved in basic and applied research on maize mainly related to development, maintenance and improvement of hybrid and open pollinated maize varieties as well as soil nutrient management for maize grown in various production systems. He has played vital role for development and release of three hybrid and three early varieties.
