Editor In Chief
Prof. Giuseppe Piccione is a full professor in Veterinary Physiology. He has published more than 275 papers in an international peer reviewed Journals. He is also author of 10 book chapters, 196 proceedings of national and international congresses. His research activity is focused on the study of temporal organization of physiological and behavioral process and, in particular, on the circadian time keeping system of domestic animals. He investigates the influence of environmental signals, such as light temperature and feeding, on the central and peripheral circadian oscillators and their outputs in domestic animals. Using a multidisciplinary approach (from gene to behavior) his research activity has allowed him to achieve significant results for understanding of the circadian timing system in domestic animals. During his research activity, he had the opportunity to participate to several national and international scientific networks. This networking has the resulted in a set of common publications, and in some academic invitations in order to develop common research programs.
